I decided to catch up on some of the things I had promised to post but didn’t. These are the two stained glass windows inspired by SpeedoMan. They block the view nicely and when the sun shines through, especially in the afternoon, early evening, the beauty of it actually makes me a little grateful to SpeedoMan. Never would I of been inspired or driven to get something up on those windows without his, err, contribution.
Living Room
Dining Room
As you can see the dining room covers the whole window, that is where I get maximum exposure to SpeedoMan. I have never worked so fast on such a large project. I stayed up practically the whole night, finished it off in record time, I believe it was two days.
Wow. Those are beautiful!

Yes, those are some of the most gorgeous things I've ever seen. I've always wanted to do something like that here, but in AZ what we do with windows is cover them with insulation to keep out the heat. So even if I did something like that, nobody would ever see it. Sigh.

BeeBee, those are wonderful. I'm still such a beginner, and the thought of doing something that large is just kinda scary - I bet the light coming in is just gorgeous.
I don't even know how you do the frames on those, guess I need to do some research.

You made those yourself?

Thank you all, take my word on this, stained glass is not hard to do.
Since I love color that's what I go with. Most folks are a little afraid of color, worry that it won't look good. With stained glass you can go the distance, use all the color you want. It will look good no matter what you choose. I promise.
